A warm holiday atmosphere surrounds Tuscany, from the smaller villages to the larger towns, including Florence and Siena. There are many events scheduled this December across the region, including several especially dedicated to families with small children who are the most eager to experience the magic of Christmas.

Among the various Christmas events taking place for families around Tuscany, there are several Santa villages set up and we have selected 4 which we think would be fun to try. Let us know how it goes!

IN MONTEPULCIANO: SANTA’S CASTLE

Where: at the Medieval Fortress in Montepulciano
When: until January 6th

In Montepulciano you will find Santa’s Castle, set up indoors inside the town fortress. Here children can visit Santa’s home and meet him with the elves.
Admission is for a fee from 3 years and older.
The Castle is open on December 13-14-15 / 21-22-23-24 and 26 from 10:30 to 19:00.
From December 27 through January 6, 2020, the castle will be open every day from 2.30pm to 7.00pm. On January 6, the times are longer, from 10:30am to 7:00pm.
Near the Fortress, in Piazza Grande and in the other streets of the historic center of Montepulciano, you will also find a gorgeous Christmas market with over 80 stands.

IN CAMPI BISENZIO: THE WORLD OF SANTA

Where: Villa Montalvo in Campi Bisenzio
When: until December 22nd every Friday, Saturday and Sunday

The Villa of Montalvo in Campi Bisenzio houses Santa’s house and offers many fun workshops for children. Santa Claus will be on hand to receive kids’ letters in the Sala del Trono, and there will also be rides and entertainment, as well as a Christmas market and refreshment stands.
Admission is charged.

IN PISA: FATHER CHRISTMAS’ FACTORY

Where: at the Republican Arsenal of Pisa
When: December 13th, 14th and 15th

At Santa’s Factory in Pisa, children can participate in many creative workshops together with the elves, as well as write their Christmas letter and post it directly at the Post Office. Admission fee from 3 years upwards.

AT MONTECATINI TERME: SANTA’S HUT

Where: at the “La Salute” establishment in Montecatini Terme
When: until January 6th

Inside the thermal spa “La Salute” in Montecatini Terme, Santa’s hut has been set up amidst the elf village, the Santa Claus Museum and the “Circus of Dreams” will be performing at regular intervals. After passing through the post office, children can finally meet Santa!
